Living Off The Grid - Save The Planet's Non-renewable Resources.
The ongoing rapid consumption of the planets non-renewable energy. The eminent shortage of power. The steadily increasing requirement for power supply. Virtual daily warnings regarding our environment should be adequate signs that it is about time we did something about the situation.
Not a healthy situation. But what can we do to help? Well, what we can do, is to start living off the grid. Startling proposal? Not at all. If we could all start living off the grid, not only would we save ourselves tons of money on the electricity bills. We would be making a valuable contribution to cleaning up our environment, which in turn could help in saving our planet.
But what does it mean to live off the grid?
We are all dependent on the various service companies that supply us with electricity, water, sewerage etc. The infrastructure that these various service companies use is what is commonly referred to as "The Grid".
Living off the grid means that we become self sufficient in various ways so that we are no longer dependent on all the service suppliers.
Now let us take a closer look at some of the advantages of living off the grid.
1. Reduced dependability on exhausting resources. Who wants to depend on public utilities all the time? Living off the grid helps you rely only on your natural resources and not the ones supplied by governments or corporations.
Think about it for a second. You would have no more power outages that only too frequently disrupt work you may be doing, your favorite game on TV. Or while entertaining guests. Well, with alternate natural power, you will be able to prevent these factors effecting you.
2. The freedom to use the abundant naturally available resources without restrictions. Wouldn't it be great if you could use as much natural power as you like to light up your home, cook your food, or for whatever reason. Without any concern about power costs?
3. Which bring us to maybe the greatest advantage to you personally. The reduction of your electricity costs. Which in turn would save you money. If you became self sufficient by making use of alternate natural power. You would no longer receive electricity bills.
4. Creating a greener planet and healthier environment. By reducing the usage of the dwindling non-renewable resources. We would play a part in ensuring that the future of our future generations is secure.
Fact! With the current demand placed on the planets non-renewable energy resources. Besides global warming. Which is already happening. Our planet faces extinction unless we do something about it. By living off the grid. Not only will you be making a contribution toward reducing the threat. You would also find that living off the grid could prove to be a very cost-effective and viable solution.
